インテリジェントパッド館

【IBM 1401】 IBM 1401は、プログラム内蔵方式の可変ワード長十進のトランジスタ式デジタル型コンピュータで、1959年10月に発表され、広く普及したIBM 1400 シリーズの最初の機種でした。米国以外でも導入され、1960年代に日本にも多数輸入されました。最低構成で月額2500ドルという価格設定は、IBM初の低価格汎用コンピュータでありIBM 650および70xコンピュータよりも安価な代替手段として、従来、使われていた会計機や計算機に取って代わることを目的としていました。
